A Must Read

Anyone who dares to think differently, who challenges themselves to question everything, who thinks for themselves or who strives to do any of these must read this book. Sonia Olivia Williams, the author of Mastering The Mind By Mixing It Up: The Key To Becoming Your Own Greatest Leader, puts in writing what so many fail to do and that is simply to think for yourself without any influences from others. This book in innovative, its risky and its brilliant. Do yourself a favor and read this book, I guarantee you will not be able to put it down.

Amazingly Insightful

I just finished reading the book and I am so excited about it that I didn't want to wait 48 hours to submit a review on my own account so I am using my husband's account. I work with higher level of care foster children and I wish I could purchase a copy for each and every one of them. The kiddos I work with have experienced the worst forms of abuse and neglect at the hands of the ones who were supposed to care for them and protect them without question. As I read this book I was thinking about the kids I have worked with either within the agency or the ones I have personally fostered and I was able to apply multiple sections of the book to each and every one of them. Often times these babies are so affected by their parents actions that their mental and emotional development is stunted. They are completely working with their survival brain and need the very guidance offered in this book in order to place their feet on solid ground and move forward to a successful life despite the chaos that was offered them.
Sonia's honesty challenges the reader in a sincere and safe way. This book can be read and understand by people from many different educational backgrounds because she writes in an easy and clear format that doesn't intimidate the reader. I truly believe this needs to be required reading material for foster children, biological parents, foster parents, PSR and BST care providers, therapists, those in recovery, and anyone else who is participating in some type of treatment or counseling program. The issues discussed affect all of us at one point or another in our lives, but especially those I mentioned above. I plan on purchasing copies for several of my co-workers and I cannot wait for the next book in the series. Excellent job Sonia!

A Tremendously Eye Opening Journey!

This book is one of the most enlightening journeys that I've had the pleasure to embark on. It will be extremely difficult for anyone to walk away away from this story without learning something important about yourself and life.
